Genomics, Healthcare and Drug Development; Communications and Electronics;
Energy; Defense/Aerospace and general business development. NVC works with
new and emerging companies, as well as those with sales of over $1 billion
per year.
The capabilities
of NVC are augmented by its contact with an extensive network of highly qualified
national and international marketing, product design, graphic design, and
engineering firms.
Although it is
standard practice to tailor the services offered to the needs of a particular
client, generally, they can be broken down into four broad categories: Management
Consulting, International Sales and Marketing, Venture Management, and
Venture Capital. A brief, but not all-inclusive, description of these
services follows:
Management
Consulting
In the Management
Consulting field, NVC provides services to assist organizations with their
growth and strategic planning; sales, marketing and branding; product development;
financing; mergers and acquisitions; quality programs; and general organizational
and management improvement. For the established medium to large-sized company
that is seeking to improve its growth posture, NVC has the capability to develop
short and long-range plans and associated action programs. NVC can find suitable
acquisition candidates, initiate merger and acquisition discussions, as well
as successfully negotiate these situations. NVC has the capability to formulate
sales and marketing plans and related action programs, as well as to assist
with the actual marketing approaches and required presentation geared to opening
up new business opportunities.
For the small
to medium-sized company, NVC can assist in the determination of objectives
for product development, and provide a fresh approach to the identification
of appropriate marketing strategies as well as potential customers. NVC can
work with the Chief Executive and/or senior management to develop a business
operations plan that integrates the five important elements of business growth:
Product, Marketing, Branding, Finance, and Management.
International
Sales and Marketing
In all of its
programs, NVC has the ability to undertake international and domestic programs.
Senior NVC personnel have a great deal of experience in the export trade field,
and have participated in major programs of selling equipment, and systems
in the American market that were manufactured in overseas countries as well
as selling U.S. technological equipment abroad. Consequently, NVC has the
capability to represent overseas companies and governments in the U.S. that
are seeking to sell their equipment to agencies of the U.S. government, or
as subsystems to major industrial prime contractors. NVC also provides assistance
to overseas companies that are seeking technology on a license, joint venture
or acquisition basis, and in formulating offset purchase agreements.
In all of these
activities involving representation of either an American company abroad or
an overseas organization in the U.S., NVC personnel play an active role in
achieving the program objectives by working closely with pertinent executives
in the client organization. The key personnel affiliated with NVC have maintained
a network of close contacts in government and industry around the world, particularly
in Europe and the Far East, which are extremely helpful in expediting a particular
program.
Venture
Management
NVC personnel
have the skills to assist in the formative stages of a new technologically
oriented company by writing Business Plans; evaluating the service, product
or process to be offered; assessing market potential; and providing help in
securing appropriate financing in the form of venture capital of institutional
financing. NVC, by virtue of its excellent contacts, arranges the introduction
of companies desiring to go public with well-known, reputable, investment
banking firms. For selected situations, NVC also furnishes management, administrative,
and technical skills required in startup and emerging companies.
Venture
Capital
Since its inception,
NVC has been involved in raising capital for client companies. This activity
relates to both startup situations and established organization. In order
to facilitate the services we provide, NVC is in the process of forming a
separate company whose primary mission is to supply capital to promising situations
in technology fields.
This company,
as presently envisaged, will be a publicly held venture capital organization
and will incorporate some features not in being in other financial organizations
today. The key personnel in the company comprise a prestigious group of individuals
whose experience guarantees the future success of the company. The new company
will be completely separate from NVC, but will have a working relationship
with NVC to facilitate the availability of management consulting services.
As this new company
is implemented, further information will be put forth on the opportunities
it will present to the worldwide community to make venture investments in
promising technology. It is estimated that the new publicly held venture capital
fund will be operating in the first few months of the year 2001.
